Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2H
$60.00
Released July, 2008
The Pros:Sports all the essential features for a decent HTPC motherboard (HDMI connectivity, microATX for factor, etc.). Well laid-out with few instances of components conflicting with one another (a large graphics card won't block SATA connectors, etc.). Low power consumption, runs coolly.
The Cons:Uses AMD's older AM2+ socket type. Only sports two DDR2 DIMM slots. Weak integrated graphics card struggles with HD media.
The GA-MA74GM-S2H is a micro-ATX motherboard from Gigabyte. It differs from the GA-MA74GM-S2 motherboard in that it lacks an HDMI connector and an internal connector for Trusted Platform Modules.
