Foxconn X58 Renaissance

The Foxconn X58 Renaissance in an upper-end motherboard built on the X58 chipset and provides support for the Intel Core i7 processor through the LGA 1366 socket. Foxconn’s Renaissance features support for triple channel DDR3 1600(O.

C.)/1333 MHz memory up to 24GB through 6 slots. The board also includes 4 PCI Express 2.0 slots, 1 PCI Express x4 slot and 1 additional PCI slot for additional peripherals. The Foxconn X58 Renaissance provides 7.1 channel surround sound with DTS Connect and Dolby Digital Live support thanks to the integrated Harp sound card. Also included is an Broadcom 5786 ethernet port, 8 USB 2.0 ports, 1 IEEE 1394a FireWire port and 2 eSATA 3GB/s ports. Unfortunately, some owners have reported functionality issues including faulty wiring of the audio ports, and the Ethernet connection functioning intermittently. The SAS RAID hard drive connection also appears to be giving some owners problems.
