The ASUS P7P55D LE is a mid-level ATX motherboard designed for the LGA 1156 socket, meaning the Intel Core i7 and i5 processors are compatible. Features on this board include four DD3 memory slots, capable of supporting RAM up to speeds of 2000 (overclocked).

For further overclocking options, Asus has included “TurboV” software for real-time system tweaking. A total of two 16x PCI-E 2.0 slots have been integrated, however if ran in ATI’s CrossFire mode the slots will run at x8/x4. SLI for Nvidia cards is not supported. For storage, up to six SATA II 3 Gb/s hard drives can be connected. Standard gigabit Ethernet is provided by Realtek. Integrated 8-channel surround sound is incorporated by the VIA VT1828S. For peripheral connectivity, one eSATA port and eight USB ports have been included on the rear side.
