Asus P6T SE
$220.00
Released June, 2009
The Pros:Reasonably priced for a Quad CrossFireX LGA1366 board. Great layout--easy access to the SATA connectors even with multiple GPUs installed. Realtek ALC1200 integrated audio comes with both coaxial and optical S/PDIF.
The Cons:LGA1366 sports a very limited upgrade path with little support now that Sandy Bridge is out. Three-way CrossFireX is limited to x16/x16/x4. Lacks USB 3.0 and SATA III, both of which are becoming more common on boards in this price range.
The Asus P6T SE is a high-end Intel X58 chipset motherboard similar to the Asus P6T. Sporting the same support for high-end Intel Core i7 processors and 24GB of tri-channel DDR3 RAM as the P6T, the P6T SE lacks the P6T's AI Nap technology and Nvidia 3-way SLI support, instead offering only ATI Quad-GPU CrossFireX support.
