Asus P5N72-T Premium

$249.00 Released May, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Well thought-out layout provides ample space for most components. BIOS configuration is easy due to intuitive menus and access. Software suite allows real-time adjustment to overclocking and provides operation figures.

The Cons:Heat sink is rather ineffectual unless you can position a fan to pass air over it. Has problems recognizing an odd number of RAM modules. Relatively high number of dead-on-arrival shipped units, for ASUS.

Ellarnia: #asus_p5n72_t_premium lack of quality check, on board lan port was DOA no lights. problem with PCI-e x1 interface, board does not recognize presence of PCI-e NIC at times even though the card is being supplied power(leds are blinking away). Removing the card and reinserting the card is a fix till it happens again. (speculates similar thing happens with PCI interface for wireless card as wireless connection drops and does not come back, requiring reboot) Jul 23, 10
