Product Shot 1 The Pros:Decent feature-set for the money. Budget board. 4 SATA ports.

The Cons:Poor board layout (cramped IDE and SATA ports). Only 2 memory slots.

The ASUS M2N-X is a budget motherboard targeted towards the enthusiast crowd. It's socket AM2 which makes it compatible with all the latest Athlon processors including the dual-core Athlon X2s.

One of the standout features of the board are the four SATA ports.

Product Shot 2 These come at the expense of other ports as there is only one IDE port that gets in the way of the SATA ports. A RAID controller is built in. The built in Ethernet connector is only 10/100Mbps as opposed to the more popular gigabit Ethernet found on more expensive boards.
