ASRock P55 Pro/USB3

$138.00 Released May, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Supports large amounts of fast DDR3 RAM, great for systems that need to do lots of multitasking. Layout makes SLI and CrossFireX setups easy to set up. Plenty of space around the PCI-E x16 slot, won't necessarily waste a slot.

The Cons:Doesn't include any onboard graphics processing. A bit short of ATX standards, which means mounting it in some cases can be tricky.

The ASRock P55 Pro/USB3 is a high-end motherboard. It is designed to contain and utilize the major components of a PC. It features an LGA 1156 socket, a USB 3.0 port, and C.C.O technology. The LGA 1156 socket allows compatibility with several high-end processors, such as the Intel Core i7, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i3, and Intel Pentium G6950.

The motherboard also features a USB 3.0 port, keeping the customer up to date with the latest USB technology. The USB 3.0 technology is vastly superior to USB 2.0, allowing for faster transfer speeds. The C.C.O (Combo Cooler Option) technology enables a user to attach a large variety of cooler devices to the motherboard, to perfectly match the CPU. When compared to another ASRock motherboard, the G31M-S, the P55 Pro/USB3 has several advantages, including a selection of more powerful processors (Intel Core i7 versus Intel Core 2 Quad) and the support of DDR3 RAM as opposed to DDR2.
