Designed for Socket AM2+ processors (AMD Phenom, Athlon 64, etc.), the R5.0 features four DDR2 slots that can be overclocked to 1066, four SATA-II bays, Gigabit LAN compatibility, and an HDMI-SPDIF header that provides SPDIF audio output to HDMI VGA cards. Included is a single PCI Express x16 slot for installing a better (think 1080p) graphics unit, and support for dual VGA outputs via one D-SUB and one DVI (adapter required). It’s not optimal for serious gamers, but it is worth considering for young gamers looking to upgrade from an entry-level desktop.
