The 890GX Extreme3 can utilize ASRock True 333 technology in order to use USB 3.0, eSATA3, and PCI-E for VGA card all at once, at the maximum speed. This makes the motherboard far more versatile than others. The motherboard uses ASRock Instant Boot technology, in order to boot up an operating system in about four seconds, far quicker than booting it up normally. It also conserves the extra energy it would take to boot it up normally. The ATI Quad CrossFireX technology enables a user to plug in up to four external ATI graphics cards to greatly enhance the visuals. When compared to another motherboard by ASRock, the 880G Extreme3, the 890GX Extreme3 has some minor advantages, including a better integrated video card (ATI Radeon HD 4290).
